Tumor Board Training: Update on S3 Guidelines & Systemic Therapy for HCC

New findings on the treatment of liver cancer were presented at a continuing education seminar. In addition to imaging tests, biopsy now plays an important role in diagnosis. Several modern drug therapies are now available for advanced liver cancer. The choice of treatment depends, among other things, on liver function; unfortunately, treatment options are more limited in cases of severe liver impairment or certain vascular involvement.
