Not all pancreatic cancers are the same

A new study shows that precancerous lesions can play a decisive role in the development of pancreatic cancer. The study indicates a better prognosis for the IPNM precancerous lesion, which accounts for about 15% of pancreatic cancers. In these cases, adjuvant chemotherapy may be omitted if the lymph nodes are not involved.
